- Fine Tuning DESQview
- (Customizing and Trouble Shooting)
-
-
- This hands-on course will cover advanced DESQview installation
- options, detailed descriptions of the "Change a Program" fields,
- tricks for configuring an ideal PC multitasking environment, and
- trouble shooting options for DESQview.
-
- The DESQview "Change Program" options for allocating memory, CPU,
- and graphics resources will be presented with an emphasis on
- optimizing resource allocation and resolving potential conflicts.
-
- Additionally, the options that determine if a program should be
- multitasked (and tap into the CPU resources), or be "swapped"
- (hence quickly available for use, but not actually requiring CPU
- resources) will be discussed.
-
- Knowledge of the differences between conventional, expanded, and
- extended memory is required for this class. A text primer,
- including copies of the overheads used in the course, and a free
- copy of Manifest, Quarterdeck's memory analysis utility are
- included in the cost of the course. For informtation call (213)
